Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data TradeNavio collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
- We collect what we need to run your journal: your account details, the trades and notes you add or sync, and your use of features like Navio AI.
- Auto-sync is read-only. We never ask for your trading password. Exchange API keys are stored encrypted and deleted when you disconnect.
- We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising trackers.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.
2. What we collect
| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account details | Name, email address, login information, plan, subscription dates, and messages you send us (for example on WhatsApp or by email). |
| Journal data | Trades you import, sync or enter (symbol, size, prices, times, profit and loss, fees), trading account names, strategies, notes, tags and screenshots. |
| Connected accounts | For MetaTrader 5 sync: your closed trades, account number, server name, broker name and account currency, sent by the TradeNavio Connector you install. For crypto exchanges: your read-only API key and secret. Plus sync status and when each account last synced. |
| Navio AI | Your chat messages, Navio's replies, chat titles, and daily usage counts. |
| Community | Posts, comments and your display name when you take part. |
| Technical data | Basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working, such as IP address, browser type, time of requests and error messages. |
3. How we use it
- To provide TradeNavio: store your journal, calculate analytics, sync your trades and run Navio AI (performance of our agreement with you).
- To manage your subscription and contact you about your account, renewals and important changes.
- To keep TradeNavio secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (our legitimate interest).
- To improve the service using aggregated information that does not identify you.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
4. Auto-sync and connected accounts
- MetaTrader 5. The TradeNavio Connector runs inside your own MetaTrader 5 and sends only your closed trades and basic account details to your journal over an encrypted connection. It cannot trade. It is linked to your account with a private key; we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of that key, never the key itself. We never ask for your MT5 password or investor password.
- Crypto exchanges. We only accept API keys without trading or withdrawal permissions. Keys are sent over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted in a secure vault. They are never shown again in the app, and our staff do not view them. Our servers use them only to request your trade history from the exchange's official API.
- When you disconnect an account, or your account is deleted, the connector's key stops working and any stored exchange key is deleted.
5. Navio AI
Navio AI is powered by Anthropic, an AI provider. When you chat with Navio, your messages and relevant journal statistics (for example your win rate or recent results) are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. When Navio looks up live information, such as economic news, it uses a web search through the same provider. Under our agreement with Anthropic, this data is used to provide the service to us and not to train their models. Please don't share passwords or other sensitive personal information in the chat.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run TradeNavio, under appropriate agreements, and only as needed:
- Supabase: database, login and server functions.
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Anthropic: Navio AI.
- Our email provider: account and service emails.
- The platforms you connect (such as your MT5 broker, Binance, Bybit or OKX): to read your trades, at your request.
- WhatsApp and Discord: if you choose to contact us or join our community there, their own privacy policies apply.
Our homepage shows a market ticker provided by TradingView. This provider can receive basic technical data such as your IP address when your browser loads it. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and TradeNavio.
7. Where data is stored
Our main database is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Some providers, such as Anthropic and Netlify, may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on our providers' safeguards.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage for passwords and keys, strict database access rules so each member can only reach their own data, and limited internal access. No online service can be 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you notice anything unusual.
9. How long we keep it
- Account and journal data: for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records by law (for example payment records).
- Connector keys and exchange keys: until you disconnect the account or your account is deleted.
- Navio AI chats: until you delete them or your account is deleted.
- Technical logs: for a limited period, usually no longer than 90 days.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to or restrict certain uses. You can delete trades, chats and connected accounts yourself in the app. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email support@tradenavio.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Delete your account and data: email us from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We will remove your account, journal and connected-account data, except records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records). We aim to reply within 30 days.
11. Browser storage
TradeNavio uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as theme and language, and keep a copy of your journal on your device for speed. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics or marketing trackers.
Cookies and similar technologies. The storage described above is strictly necessary to run the service, so it does not need a consent banner. The one exception is the live price ticker on our home page, which is provided by TradingView. When your browser loads it, TradingView receives technical data such as your IP address and may use its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. The ticker is not used inside your signed-in journal.
12. Children
TradeNavio is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as TradeNavio changes. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the app or by email. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
14. Contact
Questions or requests about your data: support@tradenavio.com.
